Fall on the Central Coast means pumpkin season. These are the patches and mazes worth the drive, from Nipomo up to Paso Robles, all open now through Halloween.
October is short, so here is the whole rundown in one place. Every patch and maze below is open for the 2026 season right now, grouped by area so you can pick the closest one or make a day of it. Dates and hours can shift with weather, so if you are driving a ways, it is worth a quick check on the farm’s own site before you go.
Close to home (Nipomo and nearby)
Nipomo Pumpkin Patch
668 Eucalyptus Rd, Nipomo. Open September 26 through October 31. Monday to Friday 12 to 6, Saturday and Sunday 11 to 6. They grow 50 varieties right on site, including giant Prizewinners, plus winter squash. Free parking. (805) 929-4153.
Avila Valley Barn
560 Avila Beach Dr, San Luis Obispo. U-pick pumpkins mid-September through October 31, plus hayrides and a hay maze. The hay maze runs daily 9 to 5:30. In October, hayrides go Tuesday through Friday 1 to 5 and Saturday through Monday 10 to 5. The bakery and farm animals make this an easy full morning with kids.
San Luis Obispo
The Pumpkin Patch at Biddle Ranch
2315 Biddle Ranch Rd, San Luis Obispo (Edna Valley). Five generations of farming on this one. They grow more than 60 pumpkin varieties right there, and there is a corn maze and u-pick. Open daily 9 to 6:30.
SLO Creek Farms
6455 Monte Rd, San Luis Obispo. Certified organic, and the u-pick pumpkin season runs October through the end of November. Thursday through Sunday, 11 to 5.
Brookshire Farms
4747 Los Osos Valley Rd, San Luis Obispo. The big one. They run the largest corn maze on the Central Coast, plus the pumpkin patch, hayrides, apple cannon, and pedal cart races. Open September 26 through October 31. Tuesday through Friday 2 to 6, Saturday and Sunday 11 to 6, closed Mondays. Admission for the maze and activities: $16 weekdays, $23 weekends (ages 3 and up), $11 for seniors, free for 2 and under. The pumpkin patch itself is free to walk.
North County (Templeton and Paso Robles)
Jack Creek Farms
5000 Highway 46 West, Templeton. The oldest pumpkin farm in the region and built for little kids: hay maze, farm animals, the Happy Acres play area, and a bakery known for apple cider slushes. September hours: Friday through Sunday 10 to 5. October: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 10 to 5; Friday through Sunday 10 to 6; closed Wednesdays. (805) 239-1915.
River K Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze
5670 N River Rd, Paso Robles. Family owned since 1969. Open September 29 through October 31, with a real corn maze and plenty of photo spots. Check their Facebook page for daily hours. (805) 441-8250.
Pumpkin Jack’s Ranch
5375 Monterey Rd, Paso Robles. Brand new for 2026, built by the Monster City Studios crew. Multi-acre corn mazes, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, hay structures, and some spooky touches for the older kids. Open daily 9 to 8.
Country Bumpkin’s Pumpkin Patch and Farm Stand
3575 Linne Rd, Paso Robles. A small local patch and corn maze on Linne Road. Hours vary by week, so check before you head out. (805) 975-6898.
